Jeremy Tredinnick travel-writer and managing editor of Odyssey books & maps visited Semey State Medical University. Odyssey books & maps are specialized on books, guides and maps about different countries and travelling. Now Mr. Tredinnick has been travelling around cities of our country to refresh the book, he wrote about Kazakhstan cities several years ago, with latest news and events. To collect updated information for book, he travels around Kazakhstan and came to our university.
Mr. Tredinnick visited the Museum of University’s history and the Museum of Peace. Director of museums Sandugash Kuttybaeva told him about long history of our university, scientific research of radiation effect after Semipalatinsk nuclear test site, cooperation between our and Japanese Universities - Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Semey State Medical University has many international scientific projects about researching of radiation effects.
In addition, our guest visited university’s themed rooms - the Room of Friendship of Nations, the Indian Room, the Astana Room, and the Japan Room. Mr. Tredinnick was happy to talk to our students about studying at Semey State Medical University, where he also shared information about his book.
After that, our guest visited our famous anatomical museum, department of anatomy and Studying-clinical Center. He visually saw how our students are trained with modern technologies and what simulators studying-clinical center has. As a result, our guest received many good impressions about Semey State Medical University and life in Kazakhstan.
