An advanced training course on cardiology for primary care physicians sponsored by akim of the region was conducted at the medical university from June 26 to July 10, 2017.
During the course various aspects of diagnosis and management of patients with cardiovascular diseases at the primary care level were discussed from the standpoint of evidence-based medicine. The materials were presented in the context of the updated protocols of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and recently updated clinical guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the American Heart Association/American College of Cardiology (AHA/ACC) (2013-2016). Both real patients consults and CBL format discussions were used for. Practical skills on the topic "Acute coronary syndrome in the practice of GPs and internists" were mastering at the Training Clinical Center on sophisticated mannequins with software applications. Participants of the course were enjoyed the course. They mentioned that they received a lot of new interesting information on the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiovascular disorders that they will aplly into their daily clinical practice.

Dear Alma U.! The course on cardiology for primary care phycisians was provided through the period from 26.06. to 10.07.2017. We are very grateful for the latest (2013-2016) international guidelines on the management of hypertension, CAD, HF, and pregnants with CVD shared with us during the course. We are also thankful for interesting discussions of clinical scenarios, as well as real patients consults, and, of course, for mastering skills in cardiology emergency at the University Training Center.
